F.A.S.T - FUN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
The All-Purpose room at the Howard Elementary School has been the site of the Fun After School Time program, or F.A.S.T., for the since the 2001-2002 school year. The program which is held from 3:20-6:15 p.m. five days a week and provides activities for students in grades K-6. Other goals of F.A.S.T. include providing nutritional snacks, interesting activities, and a supervised environment.
The community has been very generous in helping F.A.S.T. reach its goals. Many members of the community have donated time, money, talent and wisdom. There have been numerous volunteers teaching the students about different activities or about skills that will be useful in everyday life.
